Jonathan K. London is an educator, researcher, and community-builder with experience in participatory research, rural community development, and community engaged planning. His research addresses conflicts and collaboration in natural resource and environmental management, with a particular emphasis on environmental justice in rural communities. His association with Nepal began in 1991 through an intergeneration oral history project conducted in collaboration with the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). In the decades since, he has engaged in multiple teaching and research projects with Nepali colleagues.
Jonathan is Professor of Community and Regional Development in the Department of Human Ecology at UC Davis, USA. He was founding director of the UC Davis Center for Regional Change and is the Faculty Director for Community Engagement of the UC Davis Environmental Health Science Center as well as Chair of the Geography Gradate Group.
