Sameer Khatiwada is the Principal Public Management Economist with the ADB Public Sector Management and Governance Sector Office at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila. He is a macroeconomist, with a PhD in Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University. Prior to joining the ADB, he spent close to ten years with the International Labour Organization (ILO), focusing on employment and macroeconomic policies and their impact on job creation. His research focus includes macro and fiscal policy, public financial management, industrial policy, and labour markets.
