Rachana Upadhyaya holds a PhD in Disaster Sociology and is an honorary research associate at the School of Politics and International Studies at the University of Bristol, England. Her work draws on ethnographic methods to examine how risk is constructed, governed, and experienced in urban margins.

Sudeep Uprety is a Kathmandu-based researcher and development practitioner. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Sustainable Energy Management from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand.
