Arjun Guneratne teaches anthropology at Macalester College in the United States, and is the author of Many Tongues, One People: The Making of Tharu Identity in Nepal (Cornell University Press, 2002; reprinted SSB Press, 2025). His research in Nepal focuses on the Tarai.

Dipak Gyawali is Pragya (Academician) at the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology; Chair, Inter Disciplinary Analysts (IDA); former Chair, Nepal Water Conservation Foundation; and former Minister of Water Resources.

Kai He is a zoologist specializing in the taxonomy, phylogeny, and adaptive evolution of small mammals, particularly Eulipotyphla. 

Michael Hutt taught Nepali and Himalayan Studies at SOAS, University of London, from 1987 to 2020.  He is currently working on a book-length study/anthology of Nepali Dalit literature, funded from 2025 to 2027 by a Leverhulme Emeritus Fellowship. Arjun Kharel is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Tribhuvan University and a Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Labour and Mobility (CESLAM), Social Science Baha. His areas of research interests include migration, labour, social change and health and wellbeing.
